I am totally disheartened

Today is a blue day.
The girls were up at 6:30am and usually go right back to sleep however today Bella was up and ready to start her new day. Which in itself isn't bad. Then I made breakfast went over spelling words with Alex since his test is today and they were off to school. I went back into the kitchen to see my dog Twink eating the breakfast casserole right off the oven. It is gone. She has a big appetite.
Then our social worker called us. I am so saddened. That is an understatement. For those who don't know. I have adopted my son Jordan and he is now offically mine. This has brought our family closer and Jordan and I now have something no one can take away no matter how hard they try. I love him like he grew in my own body from my own soul. And in a way he acts more like me then any of my other kids. =) His Bio Mom had to make the single most difficult desicion of her life. To let her son go. Yes it was to us who have loved him and taken care of him for his whole life but still. That is THE hardest thing she will ever had to do. And I commend her for that. For thinking of Jordan and not herself. For doing what is BEST for Jordan.
Andrew is now adopting Alex. I went to college and got a baby no degree. LOL. Alex's father has been flaky at most. He never wanted me to have the baby and offered to pay for my abortion. Though I am pro choice for me there is no choice. I Had to have him. I loved him the minute I found out I was pregnant. I "knew" I was pregnant from the moment of conception. He is my little man. My heart and soul and my little "brown berry" I had Alex here in Ohio with no contact from his bio dad until he was around 3 months and no support until the courts in Medina made him pay around 6 years later. He hasn't been in Alex's life and had moved clear across the country. And of course now that Andrew, the ONLY dad Alex has ever known wants to adopt Alex. To make things official. To give him his name. NOW Bio Dad decides to fight. So we are going to court. Paying for lawyers, and court reporters, for social workers, and everything else all because a selfish 30 something year old man is only thinking of himself and not what is BEST for Alex.
I am so discusted at this point with the way Bio man has carried himself. He is a selfish person. I am not saying that signing your rights away to your child is not hard. Like I said before it is probably the hardest thing a parent has to do. But if you know your child is going to a better family. To someone who loves him and has a postive relationship and can be there for him all the time and you know you can't be living clear ACROSS the frickin COUNRTY! And you haven't in the past. I mean really wouldn't you realize that the best thing is to say good bye. Knowing that we would if you wanted send you up dates like pictures and such. Hello I keep a blog. =) You can see him and know about him all the time. As much as I write. And I try to write alot. It just makes me SO mad and angry, and sad. I am just not having a good day. I need a hug. =)

Bella isn't it amazing

I have spent the summer trying to get Bella to learn her letters. botht he capital and lower case. I did get her to know shapes and colors and she can write her name VERY neat actually but she just wouldn't do the letters. We have watched letter factory. tried writing on the windows, in pudding, everything that worked wit the boys and to no avail. SO she has started preschool this year and BAM! They are working on a letter a week. She comes home yesterday get the Aa off the fridge and tells me what it is and the sound. Well I will be! She just doens't want to do it for me. =)

Alex my little math wizard

So I have no idea where he gets it from. Maybe Pappy and Uncle Rob. Alex is a little math wizard! He has taken 3 tests so far this year and has gotten 100% on each one! I am so proud of him.
Now if we can only get him to have better hand writing. =) His teacher this year is a real stickler to nice good handwriting with finger spacing and everything. He has horrible writing but we are working on it more and more. This week he has all the words right so we are really concentrating on the writing. So hopefully he can get 100% on these tests too. He has been getting like 93 90% because of his handwriting. UGH!

Well my Wisdom teeth are out.

For better I guess. I have been in an uncomfortable place since they tried to get my wisdom teeth out almost 2 weeks ago. I went to a Wonderful Dentist who tried with novicane to get them out but they wouldn't budge and left me hurting and bruised for a week. However he did recommend another oral surgeon and TA DA! They are gone! I don't even really remember getting them out. I remember telling them I had 4 kids and them said each child and age then BAM! Nothing I woke up in mybed at home! Let me tell you they have me on anti-brusing, anti-inflamitory, antibiotic, and mouth wash! LOL But I woke with no headache or soreness really. And unlike my unlucky brother I am not swollen or bruised. =) So thanks for the prayers. I was totally freaked out about being put to sleep but it all worked out.

My sweet little Alex. He has to read each night to either himself or his siblings. Well last night he chose to read to his favorite "siblings." Twink and Petey laid peacefully next to Alex...well Petey on his lap... while Alex read to them from his favorite book. Rotten House series from RL Stein. We also found the Buster series he likes and can read well too. I can't belive how far he has come in school and with reading. He is going to have a voracious appetite for reading like me. =)

Here we are in Mr. Roger's Nieghborhood! We rode a small train around the perimeter first. Then we got to ride on Lolly the Trolly though the actual neighborhood. It was SO fun! King Friday told us that we had to tell each neighboor that they were invited to a hug-a-thon ball.

"Come one come all to the hug-a-thon ball!"

So we told Lady Elaine, Danielle Stripped Tiger, The Platypus family, The Owl (can't remember his name) and the other friends. It was SO fun. Bella said it each time inviting each friend. But the boys only got into it the last few neighboors. And once the ride was over they had a HUGE billboard describing how Mr. Roger personally helped design and make the neighborhood come real. And then they documented his life. Very sweet.

Here we are riding all the kiddie rides in Racoon Lagoon. The first ride the boys and Andrew got to do was The Howler! I couldn't belive theyw anted to go on it. LOL It spun around. I am not a spinning ride girl myself. But they loved it. Next Jordan went on a ride that spun you areound andaround then tilted like a tilt a wheel. UGH! I begged him not to bnut he did. And he LOVED it! Andrew and him went on again! While they were doing that Alex, Gracie, and Bella came with me on the hot air balloon ride. We rode twice too since Gracie wouldn't get off the ride. =) Then the kids rode all kinds of fun little rides. The boys rode with the girls more to make the girls happy. It was kinda little even for them. But they rode motorcycles, these little cars that the boys had to hand pump to make them go. the dragon that spun slow and lifted up and down. And of course the Old Time cars. A classic. They had such a good time. And theboys were on their very best behavior! After we went to Racoon Lagoon we went inside the water park area. I wish I had gotten pics of that but I was afraid my camera would get ruined. But they had a blast! The girls stayed with me in the little kid part while Andrew took the boys down the BIG slides and the wave pools.

Story Book Forest

These are our pictures of Idlewild Park. We went this summer with the kids for a long weekend, and had SUCH a blast! We went to storybook forest first since we got in early and the rides weren't open. The girls liked it more then the boys but they all had fun. We tried to guess which rhymes were where. Pictured (starting at the top left) This is the HUGE storybook that you get to walk through to start your journey. Then you can visit the school house. Al the kids got to sit in these tiny little desks even the boys had a hrd time getting out of them. Then you got to dress up as Raggedy Ann and Andy. Ann ( a person dressed up in her outfit) was sitting on top of a huge rocking chair and reading nursery ryhems. Gracie just walking downt he pathway. She loved the real animals. Then we visited the Good Ship Lolli Pop. Here a pirate gave you a peice of his treasure. All the kids as trains. The kids running through swiss cheese are 3 Blind Mice. Jordan and Gracie eating poridge with the 3 bears. Alex adn Jordan trying to get the sword out of the stone. A pictue of the shield that tell the story of King Arthur. Bella and Gracie as the 3 pigs. The kids with Old King Cole. A magic carpet ride. and More with Daddy and Old King Cole. Last pictrure is me. Andrew snapped it randomly. =)

Hot Dog Dive!

Well it was a GREAT way to end the pool season. They call it The Hot Dog Dive! All residents can bring their dogs into the pool and and let them swim, fetch, chase, and be a dog for 2 hours! I took the 4 kids of course and then my parents Nan and Pappy came also. We had never seen so many dogs before all in one place. So many breeds and all being nice and playful to each other. It was mother nature at her greatest! Of course Alex and Jordan went and played with everyone elses doggies but ours! The girls took Nana into the sprinkler park part. And Pappy loves the dogs and threw the ball the most for Twink. It was SO fun! At dinner that was all the boys could talk about was how much fun it was and of course asking each other which was their favorite dog. Alex liked the Chihuahua from Mexico and Leo the golden mix. Jordan liked this beagle poodle mix, and a lab named Bubba. Now that the pool is closed though we will be going to the lake more and more to cool off. Though the sprinkler part is still open on hot days. Can't belive the kids are back in school now and summer is coming to a close. This Hot Dog Dive was one to remember. A day the kids will never forget.

I am officially Jordan's Mommy

Well after much planning and worring. It is official I am Jordan's Mom. I have been his "mom" since he was a little over a year. Though we never had the money we have saved and saved and now it is official. We went infront of the magistrate last Thursday and had everything finalized! I am So happy. now our family is almost complete. We still have Andrew's adopting Alex day in October. But for now we are happy and content. =) I can say with 100% certainty that no matter what Jordan is my child and we are family never to be separated no matter what. =)
